Located less than 2km is Vancouver's CBD, where corporate head offices abound. For those of you visiting the city to work for extended periods in Vancouver's CBD, 1077 Marinaside Crescent is close enough to walk from or a short cab ride. In addition to offices, the CBD has a host of excellent restaurants, movie theatres, night clubs, Vancouver Art Gallery, great shopping and the symphony. Did you know that Vancouver put a virtual halt on the construction of new office space? As part of the Greater Vancouver Livable Plan, the City, back in the 1980s decided to increase the residential population of the CBD by an estimated 150,000 people. The result is a fantastic city that is alive throughout the day, unlike many ghost CBDs, whose central core empties out as people head to the suburbs! Come see this truly fantastic city and you will see why it has consistently been rated as one of the most livable cities in the world!
This major shopping centre of over 200 stores services visitors and office workers alike. Home of some big name brands such as Holt Renfrew and Harry Rosen, as well as shops such as the Apple Store, HMV, and retail anchors, Sears and the Bay, the centre provides for all your shopping needs.
Every major city has one. In Vancouver this trendy street is home to some of the more fashion conscious individuals. Restaurants abound along this street so after a long hard shopping day, you will never be too far from an eatery of your choice! Even if you are not into shopping, its worth the walk to just take in the action along this well known street.
A famous landmark of Vancouver, this 22 kilometer facility started as a stone wall that was constructed around the perimeter of Stanley Park to prevent the erosion of the park's foreshore. Colloquially, the term also denotes the pedestrian, bicycle, and roller blading pathway on the seawall, and which has been extended far outside the parameters of Stanley Park. It has become one of the most used features of the park by both locals and tourists. Access to the seawall is a mere few feet from the entrance to the building!
While Vancouver is well known for its high gastronomic qualities, Yaletown is home of some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. No visitor should miss out on the opportunities that the area restaurants provide. Blue Water Café and Raw Bar, Rodney Oyster Bar, Provence Marinaside, Cioppino's Mediteranean Grill, to name a few are some of the top restaurants in the city. But with Vancouver's cosmopolitan population the choice is endless – Thai, Indian, Chinese and other cuisine are all within a short walking distance.

A fun and exciting interactive museum, this facility is a fantastic place for the whole family. Built for the 1986 World Expo, this geodesic dome comprises of In addition to the OMNIMAX Theatre and the Science Theatre. Science World is home to five permanent galleries: the Eureka! Gallery, the Sara Stern Search Gallery, the Kidspace Gallery, the Our World Gallery, and Illusions.
Canada Line is your access to Vancouver's fully computerized, unmanned transit system. Located within 200 m of 1077 Marinaside Crescent, The Canada Line, services the Airport and Richmond (and the Speed Skating Arena) to the south, and the CBD to the north. In the CBD there is an interchange with Vancouver's other transit lines – the Expo and the Millennium Lines, as well as other transport systems.
Yaletown boasts two of Vancouver top grocery stores, Urban Fare and Choices. Both stores are within walking distances and boast high quality food products. Organic and regular groceries and huge selection of imported products are easily available. |
